# Wallet Connection

This section details how to connect your compatible wallet to your Rails account for deposits and withdrawals.

#### **Before you continue**

* Wallet Connections, Deposits & Withdrawals are not supported on mobile at this time.
* You can only change your linked wallet when your account balance is $0.00. Close all positions and withdraw your full balance first.
* Rails will never request your private keys. If you lose access to your wallet, you will not be able to update your wallet address in Rails.

## Connecting Your Wallet

1. Go to **Wallet Settings** from your profile, found in the bottom left of your screen.

2\. Click the **Connect Wallet button.**

If you've never connected a wallet before, you'll see the **Connect Wallet** shortcut in the top right corner of the trading platform from your desktop.

3. Select your compatible wallet from the available list. Make sure you have the appropriate browser extension installed.
4. Follow the prompts in your wallet to connect to Rails, and you'll be directed to the [Deposit](/manage-account/manage-funds/deposit.md) screen.

## Changing Your Wallet

Before you can connect a new wallet address, you'll need to unlink your current wallet address. You'll need to be on desktop, as mobile wallet connection is not currently supported.

Once you're ready, follow the steps below:

1. If your account balance is greater than $0.00, complete steps 2–3. Otherwise, go to step 4.
2. Navigate to the main trading page and click **Close** next to all open positions.
3. [Withdraw](/manage-account/manage-funds/withdraw.md) your full account balance.
4. Navigate to your **Account** **Settings**.
5. Click on **Wallet Settings**.
6. Click on **Unlink Wallet**.
7. Click on **Send Code**.
8. Check your email for the One-Time-Passcode (OTP).
9. Input the code and click **Unlink Wallet**.
10. Click **Connect Wallet** to connect a new wallet address via [these steps](#connecting-your-wallet).
