# Transfer

Move USDT between your Perpetuals and Options balances instantly.

Use Transfer to move USDT between your Perpetuals and Options balances instantly, without leaving Rails.

#### Before you continue

* Transfers are processed instantly between your Perpetuals and Options balances, and work in both directions.
* You can only transfer up to your Available for Transfer balance. This excludes margin currently in use by open positions or orders.
* Transfers are not available on mobile.

## How to transfer

1. Log in to your [Rails](https://trade.rails.xyz/trade/BTC-USD) account on desktop.

2\. In the top-right corner of the trading page, click your **Perps** or **Options** balance to open the account menu.

3\. Click **Transfer** to open the transfer window.

4\. In the pop-up modal, select the direction of your transfer using the **From** and **To** dropdowns.

5\. Enter the **Amount** of USDT you want to transfer.
6\. Click **Confirm**.

Click **MAX** next to **Available for Transfer** to move your full available balance.
