# Signup

Rails Exchange has designed a seamless onboarding process for two types of accounts (Individual and Business) to support a wide range of users from professional institutions to individual traders.

Every user follows the same two steps to get started. The type of account you create determines which verification you complete.

### Create Your Account

Choose your account type (individual or business), set your username and password, and verify your email.

### Verify Your Account

All users must be verified before they can trade. Individuals complete Know Your Customer  (KYC) identity verification. Businesses complete Know Your Business (KYB) verification, and the individuals who own or control the business complete KYC.

If you have all the required documentation and information ready, completing the application should take no more than 5 minutes for individual accounts and 5–10 minutes for business accounts.

Business accounts require a manual review to verify all documentation, but most reviews are completed within 1 business day.
