Winning & Losing

Winning & Losing

Explore what happens when you win or lose the evaluation below:

circle-exclamation

Users have won the evaluation when their equity balance (realized profits only) reaches the target equity, and none of the failure conditions have been triggered.

Here's what to expect if you win the Play Evaluation and you have an approved Rails Account:

  • You'll be prompted to claim your trading credit in the My Account page.

  • Once claimed, your trading credit will be automatically credited to your active Rails account balance, within your Play Sub-Account.

    • If you don't have an active Rails account with the same email, you must create one. We recommend that you do this before winning an evaluation to ensure you are eligible for a funded account on Rails.

  • The trading credit reward is withdrawal locked, but eligible to be traded with up to 5x leverage.

  • Profits earned on your Play Sub-Account over and above the trading credit value can be withdrawn, subject to profit share rules.

Consecutive Win Purchase Cooldown

After three (3) consecutive Winning Evaluations, a 24-hour cooldown applies before you can purchase another Rails Play Evaluation. Any failed evaluation resets the consecutive win count to zero. This cooldown only affects purchase eligibility. All other Program Rules still apply, including the rule that you may only hold one active evaluation at a time. Attempts to bypass this cooldown may result in termination without refund.

Trading Credit Eligibility

triangle-exclamation

Eligibility conditions are firm. No exceptions will be provided.

To receive a trading credit for winning an evaluation, users must meet 3 conditions:

  1. Have both a Rails Account and a Play Account with the same email address. If you use a different email to set up your Rails account, you will not be eligible to claim the Trading Credit from Play. Email address aliasing or plus addressing is not allowed, and these will be treated as unique email addresses.

  2. Complete your Rails account set-up (including KYC verification). If you are not approved for Rails, you are not eligible to win Rails Trading Credit Rewards from Play. Rails requires Know Your Customer (KYC) verificationarrow-up-right. All verifications must be successfully completed before rewards can be issued.

  3. Confirm you are in the same country as you did for your Rails Account. If you are not in a permitted jurisdiction for Rails, you are not eligible to win Rails Trading Credit Rewards from Play. Your country of citizenship and residence must be in a permitted country and match what was provided when you signed up for Play and Rails.

Claiming your Trading Credit

If you pass the evaluation, you'll receive an email and shown a claim modal in Play. Winning evaluations can be found in the My Account pagearrow-up-right, marked with a green gift, as shown on the right.

Select the evaluation to bring up the evaluation, and you'll be shown a "Claim Reward" button, as shown to the right.

Follow the prompts on screen to confirm your email address, and your trading credit (as long as you are eligible), and you'll see the credit in your Rails account within minutes, if you are eligible.

Play Sub-Accounts on Rails

A dedicated sub-account is automatically created for you when you earn and claim Play trading credit rewards. This sub-account:

  • Is automatically created when rewards are issued

  • Is denominated with your Rails username

  • Displays the Play logo for easy identification

80/20 Profit Share

When a withdrawal is requested from the Play sub-account, profits generated above the value of the trading credits are eligible for withdrawal and are subject to an 80/20 profit split, where 80% is paid to the trader and 20% is retained by Rails.

Example Withdrawal Request:

You are granted a $200 trading credit credited to your Rails Play Sub-Account. That trading activity generates a profit, and the sub-account balance is now $1,198.00.

The available to withdraw amount is calculated as follows:

($1,198 − $200) × 0.8 = $998

Additionally, fees are charged at your dynamic fee tier ratearrow-up-right

  • Fees in the example = $0.80

  • Profit share = $998 *0.2 = $199.60

In this example, a request to withdraw $998 from your sub-account equates to a withdrawal total of $797.60 to the user's connected wallet:

$998 - $199.60 - $0.80 = $797.60
