Troubleshooting Tips
If you're having issues connecting your wallet, depositing or withdrawing funds, please read below for common issues & how to address them. If you're still having issues, please contact us and we'd be happy to help.
Common Issues Securing USDT & STABLE
Here are some common issues that may impact your ability to obtain USDT or STABLE.
Insufficient funds:
You must have enough ETH or USDC in your wallet to cover the amount you are bridging or swapping plus gas fees. Note: You may require ETH for gas fees even if swapping USDC
Ensure the amount of token you are swapping is above the minimum requirement.
If there are wallet syncing issues (e.g. your balances are displayed incorrectly), refresh your browser, clear your cache or try reconnecting your wallet.
Token not imported:
Some wallets won't auto-import tokens so you need to import them manually for them to be displayed. MetaMask, for example, has steps to do so here. Make sure to import the correct token by specifying it's address.
USDT token address:
0x0200C29006150606B650577BBE7B6248F58470c1
STABLE token Address:
0xc74d23c560536c7c67ad5e7a04367055e233a096
Unsupported tokens:
We recommend only using Layer 2 ETH or USDC to swap for USDT or STABLE. An attempt to swap for any unsupported token will fail.
Transaction approval not completed:
You need to approve and “sign” the transaction in your wallet before you bridge or swap tokens. If the approval is pending or not completed, the transaction cannot proceed.
Network mismatch:
Make sure you are using a compatible wallet and that it's connected to the correct network (Ink or Base).
Long transaction times:
Bridging transactions, especially large ones, may take longer than expected due to network congestion or delays in Layer 2 confirmation.
Check the bridge’s status on its website and divide large transactions into smaller amounts if needed.
Common Wallet Connection Issues
Here are some common issues that may impact your ability to connect your wallet.
Unsupported wallet:
Rails Pro: Only Ink-compatible wallets are supported. We recommend Kraken or MetaMask wallets.
Rails Play: Only Base-compatible wallets are supported. We recommend using Uniswap.
Network mismatch:
Ensure you’ve connected your wallet to the appropriate network (Ink or Base).
Insufficient funds:
Ensure you have already obtained enough tokens in your connected wallet address for the amount you’re attempting to deposit.
If there are wallet syncing issues (e.g. your balances are displayed incorrectly), refresh your browser, clear your cache or try reconnecting your wallet.
Permissions not completed:
You need to accept permissions and sign the request in your wallet. If the approval is pending or not completed, you cannot proceed.
Attempting on mobile:
Wallet connection, deposit and withdrawal functions are only available on desktop for now.
Common Deposit & Withdrawal Issues
Here are some common issues that may impact your ability to deposit or withdraw funds.
Under review:
Due to our commitment to fighting illicit activity and meeting regulatory requirements, all Rails Pro wallet addresses are screened against international sanctions lists. This is done using an automated service which may trigger a manual review of your account. Our team will contact you within 1 business day once our review is complete.
Unsupported wallet:
Not all wallets are compatible with the required networks to fund your account.
Rails Pro: Only Ink-compatible wallets are supported. We recommend MetaMask.
Rails Play: Only Base-compatible wallets are supported. We recommend Uniswap.
Wallet not connected:
Make sure you are logged into your wallet extension and the wallet address associated with your Rails account is connected.
Network mismatch:
Ensure you’ve connected your wallet to the correct network (Ink or Base).
Tokens not imported:
If you’re a Play user using MetaMask, your STABLE may need to be imported.
Insufficient funds:
Ensure you have already obtained enough STABLE (Play) or USDT (Pro) tokens for the amount you’re attempting to deposit or withdraw.
Insufficient trading volume:
For Play users, if you received a welcome bonus of STABLE, you cannot withdraw until you’ve reached a trading volume of at least 1,000,000 STABLE.
Attempting on mobile:
Wallet connection, deposit and withdrawal functions are only available on desktop for now.
Common Wallet Unlinking Issues
Here are the key reasons you may not be permitted to unlink your wallet.
Wrong Platform:
Rails Play users cannot change their wallets. Only Rails Pro has this functionality for now.
Account Balance:
Your account balance must be $0 to unlink your wallet. All open positions must be closed and funds withdrawn to the wallet connected.
