Why is My Application Not Approved?

There are several verification requirements and eligibility restrictions which may result in some applications to trade on Rails to be denied. If you are not eligible for Rails, you will be notified automatically during the application process or by email from a member of our team.

Duplicate account detected

Users are only allowed to have one individual account. Duplicates will be automatically declined. If you have not applied previously for a Rails account, please reach out to us by email.

You're not eligible

Rails Pro has eligibility restrictions which we've aimed to make as transparent as possible in the User Eligibility article, but here is a quick summary:

• Prohibited Jurisdictions: Applicants who are citizens of, residents of, or whose business is registered in certain restricted countries are not permitted.

• Insufficient Experience: Rails Pro applicants must have sufficient investment knowledge, trading experience, and risk tolerance.

• Unsupported Business Types: Some business types, like charities, non-profits, foundations and sole proprietorships, are not eligible.

• Failed or Incomplete Verification: Rails Pro requires both Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) verifications, where applicable, to be completed before you can trade on the platform. It is possible that there wasn't sufficient documentation to verify your business, or verify your identity.

If you are not eligible, you would have received a screen like this when submitting your application, or received an email from our support team stating your application has been declined.

To maintain the integrity and security of our platform, some applications may require a manual review before they can be approved. This step ensures that all necessary information is accurately verified and that the application meets our compliance standards. Manual reviews help us protect against potential fraud, confirm user identities, and provide a safer experience for all users.

We aim to complete all reviews within one business day

You will be contacted via email once you're approved, or if we require more information. Check your spam folder if you don't receive the email.

Your applicant is too high risk

To comply with regulatory requirements and maintain a safe platform for all users, we conduct risk assessments during the onboarding process. In some cases, applications may be declined if certain risk indicators are identified.

These indicators can include factors such as incomplete or inconsistent information, activity patterns, or information found during standard background checks. While we can’t share specific details for security and compliance reasons, we evaluate each application carefully and apply a consistent review process.
